Laura & Matthew's Seriously Stylish 'Pullman Wedding' at The Merewood

This is such a beautiful wedding, a huge amount of care and work by our Bride & Groom went in to the plans for this beautiful wedding day at the fabulous Merewood Country House Hotel where Lorna heads up a brilliantly talented banqueting team, huge thanks to her for arranging the safe return of a few of our props that were misplaced on the night.
~
Our gorgeous Bride the lovely Laura, drives trains for a living which is pretty remarkable, she is also a truly inspirational and ace person, I have really enjoyed getting to know her and helping her with the plans for this seriously stylish day, so following a couple of meetings where ideas for an Art Deco styled look were discussed we invited Laura back in to see her sample Bridal designs...
~
The sample Bridal Bouquet with White Anemones with black centres, Roses in vintage tones including Amnesia, Quicksand & Mentha, White Peonies, White Hydrangeas, Scabious seed heads, Albiflora, White Astilbe, Eucalyptus, Viburnum Opulus, Chasmanthium Latifolium, Thalaspi, Umbrella Fern, the real bouquet was bound with a plain ivory satin handle finished with Laura's own vintage buttons, but you'll see that lower down, one request from our Bride was to ensure that we didn't have 'kissing Anemones' they all had to be kept separate

'The Pullman Top Table Design' A collection of 1920's styled vintage vessels with glass cloches, crystal decanters, coffee sets, books, music paper, lace doilies and Laura's fabulous origami flowers with illumination provided by Crystal candlesticks

Our classical Baroque Candelabra was also made up as a sample design
We created a lovely Silver fruit bowl filled with fresh flowers for Laura's perusal
At last the big day arrived
Ruby & Berto were the team on the day looking after the flowers (I was gutted not to be able to be there to see the culmination of the planning)

Ruby presented our  Bride and Bridesmaids with their Bouquets and showed them how to carry them
Downstairs in the elegant surroundings of The Merewood Country House Hotel every area was dressed uniquely
Our lovely Silver Fruit Bowl sat on one of the marble side tables, it was filled with Peonies, Roses Solomons Seal, Anemones, Alliums and Sweet Peas

All of the details were gloriously authentic and looked quite simply perfect in situ'
...and fresh flowers featured in each space
In the ceremony room our Baroque Candelabras on pedestal stands framed the foot of the aisle beautifully with two more framing the Registrars table at the head of the aisle, clusters of candlelit Hurricane lamps sat in puddles of fresh fragrant Rose petals were in between
Our Baroque Candelabras were dressed with Roses, Peonies 'Bowl of Cream' Dancing Grasses, Viburnum Opulus, Alliums, Solomons Seal and Champagne Grass

All of the windowsills and occasional tables were dressed with our designs
Crystal Decanters and drinking glasses all filled with fresh fragrant Blooms including Tuberosa, Peonies,Alliums, Roses White O'Hara & Metalina

I loved these super duper flags  created by our fab Bride, these would be handed to guests to wave as the Bride & Groom leave
We had lots of lovely Wrist Corsages for the important lady guests to wear

The Bride Groom's Boutonniere featured a Quicksand Rose with an Anemone, Astrantia, Umbrella Fern, Champagne Grass and Stachys, the design was bound with jute and finished with a vintage button
